Euroyachts Pty Ltd is one of Australia's largest importers of international yachts. Since 1996, Euroyachts has expanded its marketing and distribution network across Australia to offer the finest products from Italy, France and America.
In 1997 the introduction of Europe's largest boat building yards to our shores changed the face of Australian boating forever. Only a handful of imported luxury yachts had been bought in Perth, and on the East Coast, most of the boating market was focused on American products, so the introduction of the English built Princess Yachts and the little known Fench-built Jeanneau certainly helped create the start of a new phenomenon.
Responsible for this was Greg Dagge, CEO of the then newly-established Euroyachts, which he founded in 1997 after relocating from Hong Kong in 1995. His already 10+ year established relationship with these successful European brands led him to take up their offers to represent Australia in the Asia-Pacific region.
At the 2005 Sydney Boat Show, and after eight years of importing solely European brands, Euroyachts took its portfolio of luxury yachts to the next level, with the introduction of one of America's sleekest boat yards, Viking Yachts. Euroyachts now held a large share of the luxury boat import market, after just eight years in operation.
Building a better boat everyday is the mantra of Bill Healey, president of Viking Yachts, who founded the company with his brother Bob in 1964. Leading the industry today in performance, innovation, engineering and luxury, Viking manufacture and fabricate 90 percent of each boat in their modern 550,000 square foot facility on the Bass River near Atlantic City, New Jersey. Continuous development with innovative details is the hallmark of a leading edge company and every model from 45 to 74 feet represents Viking's unyielding commitment to build a better boat every day.
The Viking 56 and 48 Convertibles are already causing a stir in tournaments across the Asia-Pacific region, and the debut of the Viking 64 Convertible at Western Australia's 2006 Mandurah Show in October was sure to add strength to the Viking presence in the market.
Due to customer requirements changing in an ever-evolving market place, on 1 August 2006 Euroyachts bid farewell to their long alliance with the English product line of Princess Yachts and redefining their direction, welcomed aboard the custom Italian motor yacht builders, SANLORENZO.
The introduction of SANLORENZO to its impressive line-up of European and American yachts will allow Euroyachts to offer a new level of choice and true customisation, together with extremely high build qualities and traditional personal service.
Following the recent sale of SANLORENZO a little over a year ago by president Giovanni Jannetti, the famous Italian motor yacht builder Cantieri Navalei SANLORENZO (now simply SANLORENZO) is under new management. The new owner is Massimo ‘Max' Perotti, who 18 months earlier cashed in a long-standing six pre cent stake in the giant motor yacht operation Azimut-Benetti. Much of what Azimut-Benetti achieved bore his mark, so it is no surprise that he has plans for SANLORENZO, although loyal owners will be pleased to hear that future plans will keep the faith, building on the 46 year-old reputation rather than taking a different direction.
SANLORENZO, which also offers motor yachts in the superyacht range, is located in Viareggio, the famous centre of Italian boat building near Genoa, not far from the watersports playground of Portofino. Here the yard has built a strong reputation among these top Italian builders for fine Italian craftsmanship and quality.
Traditionally older, SANLORENZO yachts had wooden hulls, while the larger, more recent hulls are constructed of fiberglass-GRP. A semi-displacement range has been launched, with 92' and 122' models, and a 105' will follow.
For Euroyachts, pioneering and achieving a strong market presence for the French-built Jeanneau has also been an extremely rewarding experience. Since the start Jeanneau has been the steady performer for Euroyachts. It had little or no recognition within Australia to begin, but today Euroyachts has Jeanneau distributors in every Australian state.
In 1996 the Jeanneau shipyard joined forces with the Beneteau Group, a merger that has brought 10 years of exceptional evolution. As a result of constructive competition between the two brands, sales figures increased five times, and the production area by nearly 50,000 square metres. Jeanneau has become a huge force in the global market for pleasure cruisers, and it is the #1 manufacturer of pleasure boats in Europe.
Euroyachts introduced the exciting Euro-designed Jeanneau Power Boat Range to the Australian public at the May 2004 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, and this assisted the yard to continue building a strong reputation here.
In July 2006, Euroyachts was named Jeanneau Prestige Dealer of the Year, and has previously collected such titles as Jeanneau International Dealer of the Year and the Jeanneau Sail Sales Award in 1999 and 2000.
In 2007 Jeanneau will introduce new models in record numbers, all replete with the yard's pedigree quality.
Motivated by a new spirit at the dawn of its 10th anniversary, and with a refreshed product range to move forward, Euroyachts will endeavor to continue to offer current and new clients the very best in product variety and customer service.
